Jennifer ‘Mother Jai’ Lawson
Jennifer began her journey to natural health and wellness when she developed type 2 diabetes. Ignoring the signs and symptoms for years she came close to passing into a diabetic coma and dying. This was her wakeup call.
Change was necessary to continue living for her three daughters (youngest was 1) and husband. She changed her major from Accounting to Integrative Therapeutic Practices at MSU Denver. Learning about homeopathy, holistic health, herbal remedies, essential oils and alternative therapies she discovered a whole new way to improve her health without using pharmaceuticals and OTCs.
Using what she learned she was able to reverse the diabetes and become healthier than she had ever been in her life. She is now a fitness instructor, personal trainer, and wellness educator. Stronger physically and mentally than ever before.
Here’s a little background:
Due to a surgery on her kidneys and bladder at a young age the damage was permanent. One kidney never grew and the other functioned at less than 100%. The chronic infections caused by scar tissue were treated by antibiotics over 20 years. Her education taught her that the use of the antibiotics plus multiple bad choices on her part (smoking, junk food and drinking soda) caused damage to the digestive tract and immune system which then caused the development of type 2 diabetes.
